Project Inception
Runs a playable second Minecraft game on a screen inside Minecraft.
What it does
Runs a fully featured second Minecraft instance on an in-world display and forwards keyboard/mouse input to the inner game. It is a useful historical precursor to the current wave of game-inside-game projects.
How it works
Fabric mod + second Minecraft process + memory-mapped interprocess communication
Requirements & limitations
Fabric Loader and Fabric API on Minecraft Java 1.16.x (CurseForge lists 1.16.3 for the 1.3.x files). Client-side only; the README says it will not work when Minecraft runs from a network drive because it uses memory-mapped files, and multiplayer is disabled in the nested game.

On 2026-10-12 I re-read the repository README, MIT LICENSE, tags and commit history: last commit 2020-10-24 and v1.3.2+beta.1 (2020-10-13) is still the newest release; no newer activity. No play-test.
