Morrowind: PipBoy Edition (Holo-Wind)
Plays Morrowind, run by OpenMW, live on Fallout 4's Pip-Boy screen via a holotape.
What it does
An F4SE mod that renders The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, running through OpenMW, inside the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy. OpenMW runs as a hidden process; a proxy SDL2.dll captures its framebuffer into shared memory and an F4SE plugin injects it into Fallout 4's D3D11 pipeline, showing it on the Pip-Boy when the Morrowind holotape is inserted, with keyboard input passed through. Includes a setup wizard and (from V1.23.0) an uninstaller. Since v1.22.3 it works with a standard OpenMW 0.50.0 install.
How it works
Hidden OpenMW process; proxy SDL2.dll framebuffer capture into shared memory; F4SE plugin injecting the image into Fallout 4's D3D11 Pip-Boy render
Requirements & limitations
Windows; Fallout 4, F4SE, OpenMW 0.50.0 and your own legitimate copy of Morrowind; both games run at the same time. The README asks that reuse of the source credits the author; no licence file is published.

Evidence limits
On 2026-10-12 I read the repository README, tags, commits (last 2026-05-10) and releases page (V1.23.0, 'Fixed Combat Damage Bug - Added Uninstaller'); no LICENSE file exists, so licence stays unknown. The Nexus page returned 403 and press (Insider Gaming, RetroHandhelds, May 2026) was used only as corroboration. No play-test.
