Mario 64 in Minecraft (Zckyy)

Lets you play as Super Mario 64's Mario inside Minecraft, with the decompiled SM64 movement code driven by Minecraft's blocks.

What it does

A Fabric mod that runs Super Mario 64's decompiled movement code through libsm64 inside Minecraft Java Edition. Minecraft's blocks are turned into SM64 collision each tick (stairs as ramps, ice, lava and water surface types), and Mario's model, voice and music are loaded from the user's own ROM. The README lists the SM64 moveset, shader support and automated in-game tests, and states it is single-player only with no SM64 objects or enemies. sm64.dll is built locally by the user with a provided script.

How it works

Minecraft Fabric mod bridging to libsm64 (compiled SM64 decompilation) with Minecraft blocks converted to SM64 collision

Requirements & limitations

Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4, Fabric Loader 0.16.10+ and Fabric API, your own Super Mario 64 (USA) .z64 ROM, and a locally built sm64.dll (Git, Python 3 and MinGW/w64devkit). Windows 10/11 x64 is the tested platform; Linux and macOS are untested. Single-player only.

Evidence limits

The GitHub README, MIT LICENSE, v0.1.0 tag and commit history (all 2026-10-01) were read on 2026-10-10; behaviour is as documented by the creator, whose tests are not catalogue play-tests. No independent catalogue play-test was performed. On 2026-10-12 the repository URL returned 404 via both a web fetch and git ls-remote, so it is marked dead (historical record kept); a rename or move was not found by search.
