L4D2 x Minecraft
Runs real Minecraft inside Left 4 Dead 2 with building, items, mobs and experimental co-op.
What it does
Windows alpha in which Source (Left 4 Dead 2) owns the map, movement and infected while a Minecraft Fabric client supplies blocks, inventory, items, mobs and player models. A Python bridge exchanges state and an x86 ReShade add-on composites the rendering. The README calls it a playable experiment/alpha; solo and a two-player run were tried by the author and a full two-PC regression is still outstanding.
How it works
Python bridge between a Source mod and a Fabric client, with an x86 ReShade add-on compositing both games
Requirements & limitations
Windows (README badge: D3D9), your own copies of Left 4 Dead 2 and Minecraft Java Edition with Fabric; exact versions not recorded.
