FortressCraft (FortCraft)

Plays Minecraft as a Team Fortress 2 mercenary, with TF2's classes, weapons and buildings running against Minecraft's world and mobs.

What it does

A two-process passthrough in which Minecraft draws the world and owns its blocks, mobs, dimensions and saves, while a locally built Team Fortress 2 bridge supplies the player, classes, weapons, projectiles, Engineer buildings, menus and HUD. The creator documents mob targeting, block breaking and explosions, and lists known gaps such as Medic healing against Minecraft mobs. It is a source preview built from the Source SDK, not a one-click installer.

How it works

Minecraft Fabric mod + Source SDK 2013 TF2 bridge exchanging state over a shared-memory protocol

Requirements & limitations

Windows 10/11 or Linux (Linux is new and less tested), Team Fortress 2 and Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer on Steam, Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 with Fabric Loader 0.19.5. Setup scripts clone Valve's Source SDK 2013, apply the repository's patch and build locally (Git, JDK and a C++ toolchain); ready-made zips per OS are on the Releases page. Single-player/offline only; no game files are included.

Evidence limits

On 2026-10-11 the GitHub README, tags and release page were read: releases 0.3.0-0.5.1 (all 2026-10-11) add MvM-style robot raids with a wave panel and boss/Tank, a bookshelf upgrade station, a backpack shortcut for Minecraft items and creative flight; the README now documents Windows and Linux zips (Linux flagged as less tested) and the MIT LICENSE is unchanged. No independent catalogue play-test was performed.
