What it does

The public v0.1.0 build includes an Overworld mode that keeps CS:GO-style movement, weapons and HUD while adding streamed Minecraft terrain, creatures, survival inventory, crafting, furnaces, Nether progression, strongholds and an Ender Dragon encounter.

Requirements & limitations

The release zip CSGO-Rewrite-0.1.0-windows-x64.zip needs the user's own CS:GO Legacy install (the csgolegacy beta of Counter-Strike 2 on Steam). The README says the zip bundles the Minecraft 26.3 assets used by Overworld mode. Building from source needs stable Rust (2024 edition).

Evidence limits

On 2026-10-11 the GitHub README and tags were re-read; v0.1.0 is still the only tag, no LICENSE file is present, and the README still states it was written by Claude for the creator. No catalogue play-test was performed.
